Estimator

Team Fishel, the Best Choice Employer in the utility construction business, is looking to hire an Estimator for our Santa Ana, CA location. The purpose of a Estimator at Team Fishel is to be responsible for evaluating bid specifications and drawings, ensuring that we know everything required to successfully bid and win the project. Estimators must aggressively follow-up with subcontractors to ensure that bids are received. Estimators also work with the Project Management teams to follow-up on bids and budgets to close the business.

Responsibilities:

• Solicits and maintains communication with subcontractors and vendors

• Shows creativity and resourcefulness to gain better pricing from subcontractors

• Develops RFI's and clarifications and ensure adequate subcontractor coverage

• Performs a comprehensive "bid day" analysis and scoping of specific assigned trades

Requirements & Qualifications:

• 3+ years related experience in Estimating Dry Utility work, with Telephone & Electric Focus

• Must have USDA RUS experience

• CAD and estimating software i.e. HCSS, Bid2Win,  experience a plus

• Valid Driver's License

• Ability to communicate with Teammates and customers

• Ability to travel

Bilingual in Spanish and prior construction experience is a plus

Team Fishel will provide on-the-job training in all areas of safety, including flagging certification, tool operation and maintenance.
