Description

Team Fishel, the Best Choice Employer in the utility construction business, is looking to hire a Quality Control Inspector for their San Diego, CA location.  The purpose of a Quality Control Inspector at Team Fishel is to inspect and audit job site situations, maintain a safe working environment and be accountable for quality and productivity.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all QC duties per company and client practices and procedures.
  • Responsible for performing quality control inspections and audits of Fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) and Coaxial work during the construction and implementation phase to ensure timeliness, completeness, and accuracy of work.
  • Monitor placement of fiber optic and coaxial cable to ensure correct and accurate cable handling, pulling tension, bend radius guidelines, and adherence to requirements and industry best practices.
  • Read and interpret technical documents (blue prints, drawings, layouts, schematics) as they relate to field work to be completed or already completed.
  • Ensure standards and procedures are followed to prevent and minimize disruption to project timeline.
  • Collaborate with team to problem solve and generate solutions to quality control problems.
  • Responsible for updating supervisor/manager on all progress reports and expedite any and all issues immediately that would interfere with the projects timeline.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of telecom inspection experience
  • Expertise in placement of fiber optic or cable wiring during construction phase
  • Uses mature judgment in all aspects of the job
  • Skilled in multi-tasking with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to problem solve
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with internal team and third party vendors.

 

Bilingual and prior construction experience is a plus

 

Team Fishel will provide on-the-job training in all areas of safety, including flagging certification, tool operation and maintenance.
