Team Fishel, the Best Choice Employer in the utility construction and network
installation business, is hiring a Technician/Mapping Specialist to
support projects in our Phoenix, AZ office. Under general
supervision, this position creates underground construction drawings for Gas utility
installations.

Requirements & Qualifications:
· - Compile as-built data of Team Fishel installed gas
facilities for Southwest Gas, and document it in AutoCAD.
· - Design Southwest Gas high pressure mains, regulator
stations and distribution facilities.
· - Prepare construction design using AutoCAD and cost
estimates.
· - Perform compliance related activities including the
review of as-built packages; and prepare MAOP certifications.
· - Post new gas facilities to gas atlases; create new
grids using COGO points or GPS coordinates; place land base in new grids.
· - Maintain transmission files of maps to be surveyed.
· - Compile footage and place annexation boundaries.
· - Utilize company engineering and operation standards
to aid in the design of basic and comprehensive facility installations.
· - Meet with Southwest Gas designers to ensure information
provided in the drawings is accurate.
· - Interact with the local municipalities, inspectors
and other key personnel to gather relevant data.
· - A thorough understanding/ experience in the Gas
industry, public right-of-way, private easements, existing utilities such as
water, sewer, electric, and other underground and aerial utilities
- Knowledgeable in city, county, state and local
municipality encroachment permits, Traffic Control and specialty permits;
easement right away and various environmental permits are highly desired.
Experience Desired:
· - Minimum of 3 years’ experience required
· - Proficiency in Work Management Information System
(WMIS), AutoCAD and Electronic Mapping System, FOMS and
Field Smart.
· - Experience reading permits and setting up traffic
control is desired.
- Some Travel may be required
