Description

Team Fishel, the Best Choice in Utility Construction since 1936, is hiring a Safety Coordinator for electric operations at our Plant City, FL office. The successful candidate will be a Journeyman Lineworker with at least five years verifiable experience in electrical transmission/ distribution and be familiar with DOT and OSHA programs, regulations, and procedures. 


Responsibilities:

1. Develops, delivers, and documents safety training

2. Maintains safety records

3. Conducts regular safety inspections to enforce safety programs and policies

4. Assists in identifying and mitigating hazards at job site locations

5. Investigates accidents, injuries, and job damages

6. Monitors contract service/inspection of fire and safety equipment

7. Assists Supervisors in preparing materials for safety meetings

8. Travel is required

 

Skills and Certifications:

1. Certifications in OSHA 500 and 510, and qualification to teach OSHA 10

2. Knowledge of industry safety practices, NESC, DOT, OSHA, ADOSH regulations, and guidelines

3. Certified and trained in first aid, CPR, HAZCOM, PPE, and Pole Top Rescue
