Description

Team Fishel, the Best Choice Employer in the utility construction business, is looking to hire an Assistant Project Manager for our Telecommunication projects in our Las Vegas Metro area locations. To be successful in this role, you must be able to manage projects (with varying levels of complexity) within an established framework of scope, schedule, and cost under moderate supervision with some latitude for independent judgment. Must be able to apply critical thinking, exercise learning agility, always communicate verbal and written communication respectfully and demonstrate professionalism.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work in partnership with our Construction teams, Design team and Project Managers to identify, understand and manage the scope of work, schedule, and budget.

  • Work with Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and customers for internal or external submittals, concerns, and issues. 

  • Communicate project status on a regular basis with the customer and keep the Project Manager informed of any items discussed.

  • Collaborate with Project Managers to verify completion dates, estimated/final footage, and the project status to ensure the project is on track and all items are accurate.

  • Deliver quality service on schedule and within budget in a team environment.

  • Coordinate with City jurisdictions as needed to ensure that work complies with the client and project standards, as well as contract requirements.

  • Lead internal meetings with minimal guidance from the supervisor. Documents meeting minutes and action required items; helps drive open items to closure.

  • Perform field verifications/site walks to identify and resolve design problems, as necessary.

  • Coordinate and deliver RFI responses.

  • Follow company and client safety protocol in project delivery.

  • Communicate goals set by the Project Manager to the team to ensure alignment. 

  • Monitor daily production of individuals to ensure expectations are met and continual improvement is achieved. Provide continuous coaching and feedback to address individual/team success and/or areas of opportunity for improvement based on daily production goals set by the Project Manager. 

  • Successfully identify and drive constraints to closure.

 

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Computer Aided Design with at least 3+ years of relevant client facing experience required.

  • Computer literacy and basic drafting skills with prevailing software platforms required.

  • Ability to multi-task, problem solve, and lead projects to completion.

  • Strong work ethic and desire to work in a team environment.

  • Must be detailed oriented and possess excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Professional written and verbal communication.

  • Maintain professional demeanor at all times.
