Team Fishel has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Intern with our Professional Services Group (PSG) in Tampa, FL. This is a great way to apply your academic learning in a utility construction setting.
As an Engineering intern, you will perform flicker studies and review voltage drops. You will also be reviewing electrical distribution routes and where routes move from overhead to underground lines. You will also be introduced to our Right of Way and Survey teams to understand how they partner with engineers. Other duties, including maintaining spreadsheets, may also be assigned.
To be considered for the internship, you should be a rising sophomore, junior, or senior in an accredited college/university Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil/Structural, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related discipline) program. Previous experience using AutoCAD tools is also needed to be considered. This role requires that you be physically able to work outside in a variety of weather conditions in a fast paced environment. You must be at least 19 years of age at the start of the internship with a valid driver's license, which is anticipated to be late May - early June 2022.
Candidates will be reviewed through December 2021 and those of interest will be contacted for interviews in late December.
