Shop Hand

Team Fishel, the Best Choice Employer in the utility construction and network installation business, is hiring a Shop Hand/Yard Attendant for our Lexington, KY operations.

Responsibilities

• Receives and verifies accuracy of incoming shipments

• Maintains both inside shop and outside yard facilities

• Sorts and places materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code

• Maintains, restock, and perform minor repairs on gas tooling equipment

• Pulls and distributes materials, tools, or other stock items in order to fill technician requests

• Maintains accurate inventory records through the use of a computerized inventory system

• Completes requisition requests to order additional equipment and supplies

• Utilizes material handling equipment such as forklifts, etc

• Performs a wide variety of general and semi skilled maintenance activities

• Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work site

• Timely submission of reports and paperwork

Requirements and Qualifications

• Must have experience operating a forklift, own a standard basic tool set.

• Must hold valid CDL-A.

• Experience maintaining overhead and underground gas utility and electrical construction supply materials desired

• Demonstrate superior organizational, cleanliness, prioritization and communication skills

• Must demonstrate basic math skills

• Must be able to work both independently under limited supervision and as part of a team

• Ability to lift ,carry, push, and/or pull;  climb and balance; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity

• Experience with Microsoft Office preferred
