Description

Team Fishel, the Best Choice Employer in the utility construction business, is looking to hire a Civil Wet Utilities Superintendent with water & sewer experience for our Phoenix, AZ location. The purpose of a Civil Wet Utilities Superintendent is to support the civil wet utilities division to ensure high quality and timely completion of projects. Must have knowledge in public works and ADOT experience.

 

Responsibilities:

  •  Planning and implementation to ensure all materials, equipment, and inspections support the projects scheduled for the wet utilities division.

  • Review and understand construction documents

  • Coordinate plans and specifications with design engineers and resolve discrepancies

  • Participate in the development and management of a project schedule

  • Develop a site logistics plan

  • Manage the utilization of company tools and equipment

  • Coach, supervise, and develop Teammates

  • Conduct effective pre-construction planning sessions and project site meetings

  • Supervise project partners, foremen, and crews

  • Manage and track work progress and productivity

  • Manage team member training, ensure they are current prior to starting tasks

  • Provide high level management of safety, quality, risk, and compliance for the project and team members

  • Recognize and mitigate unfavorable working conditions

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and procedures

 

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years Wet Utilities construction experience with 2 of those years having supervisory experience

  • Proven ability to fulfill all responsibilities for multiple, complex projects

  • Demonstrate flexibility to effectively deal with changing priorities and timelines through analytical problem-solving

  • Proven time management and follow-through skills with the ability to work on multiple tasks with tight deadlines

  • Work both independently and in a collaborative team-oriented environment.

  • Display superior written and oral communication skills and effective listening skills

  • Bilingual in Spanish and prior construction experience is a plus
