Copper Wire Splicer

Team Fishel, the Best Choice for Utility Construction and Network Installation, is hiring Copper Wire Splicers for our Prescott Valley, AZ office. The purpose of a Copper Wire Splicer is to perform functions including splicing, testing, pair continuity and count verification of all types, sizes and gauges of existing and newly constructed PIC and Paper Insulated, color-coded and non-color coded cables. Aerial and Underground experience required.

Responsibilities

• Placing and testing pressurized and non-pressurized closures

• Rearranging all outside plant facilities

• Pair identification and tagging

• Read, comprehend, and correct information on cable prints and throw sheets

Requirements & Qualifications

• Combination of training and 3-years relevant work experience

• Previous underground utility experience required

• Must be able to follow instructions.

• Must be able to travel

• Must have personal truck and tools including: Basic hand tools, butt set, and tone generator,

           24’ or greater extension ladder,710 cutter presser, 25, and 5 pair, Tie wrap cinch tool,

           Utility hole set up, guard, ring, blower, pump, Test Equipment, 965DSP, HST-3000, or equivalent

           and Cell phone.
