Team Fishel, the Best Choice Employer in the utility construction business, is hiring an Office Support Teammate for our San Diego, CA office.
We are looking for a candidate who is proficient with Microsoft Excel, has accounting experience, and has a high level of attention to detail. The ideal candidate will need to efficiently handle multiple tasks with tight deadlines, communicate effectively both written and verbally, and adjust quickly to changing situations. Additionally, this candidate should be able to work with minimal supervision and resolve issues independently based on project and company standards.
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will need to be open to learning, disciplined and systems-driven, detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and have a genuine interest in helping fellow Teammates with a positive and proactive attitude.
Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:
- Accounts Payable: Answer calls, issue purchase orders, confirm delivery or receipt, reconcile statements and invoices, ensure correct job costing, and research and set up local and out-of-state vendors.
- Payroll and equipment management
- Maintain electronic filing system for each project (job site forms/requirements copies)
- Data research and compilation
- Accounts receivable
- Answer/direct incoming calls and take messages as necessary.
- Maintain office supplies/equipment, ordering and scheduling maintenance as necessary.
- General office support, including helping the leadership team as needed.
- Open and distribute all incoming/outgoing mail and packages as needed.
- Good judgment, logic, and ability to learn new things quickly.
- Other office duties as assigned.
Candidates with previous experience in the construction industry are preferred.
Hourly wages based on skills and experience - $22.00-$25.00/hour
