Registered Professional Land Surveyor

Team Fishel, the Best Choice Employer in the utility engineering and construction business, is hiring a Registered Professional Licensed Surveyor for our Dallas, TX Professional Services Group operation.

The Surveyor is responsible for performing vertical and horizontal control surveys, boundary surveys and required calculations and computations as well as ties to subdivisions, property lines and government land corners. They are additionally responsible for project management duties and directing/managing survey crews and technicians, ensuring the accuracy of surveys and calculations, assisting the performance of the field work on complex projects as needed. Other duties may include coordination and scheduling of crews and technicians as needed and acting as primary liaison between the design and survey teams. Surveyor must be a Registered Professional Licensed Surveyor in the State of Texas. 

• Bachelor's degree preferred or two-year degree from a technical school and/or a minimum of five years experience working as a Licensed Surveyor

• Experience in utility and/or general construction a plus

• Must have general computer knowledge (MS Word, Excel, Windows OS, etc.)

• Experience with AutoCAD, Carlson and TBC preferred

• Scanning and drone imaging experience preferred

• Anticipated overnight travel of up to 50%

• Must be registered as a Land Surveyor in the State of Texas

• Knowledge and experience in survey methods, procedures and techniques including operation of optical, electronic, and GPS devices
