Team Fishel, the Best Choice in utility construction since 1936, is hiring a Safety Coordinator for Electrical
Distribution projects at our Plant City, FL office. The
successful candidate will be a previous Journeyman Lineworker with at least
five years of verifiable experience in electrical distribution work and be
familiar with DOT and OSHA programs, regulations, and procedures.
Responsibilities
1. Assists in identifying and mitigating hazards at
job site locations.
2. Investigates
accidents, injuries, and job damages as required
3. Coordinates the service/inspection
of fire extinguishers, portable gas detectors and other
applicable safety equipment
4. Conducts/coordinates
classroom and field training meetings
5. Prepares and conducts monthly safety meetings to share trends, best practices, and updates
6. Oversees driver
safety and DOT compliance training
7. Maintains safety
records
Requirements & Qualifications
1.
5+ years of
experience in electrical utility construction with a focus on safety
2.
Experience in both
Overhead and URD construction is preferred
3.
Knowledgeable in
safety to include OSHA 30-hour, First Aid/CPR, and pole top rescue
4.
Ability to perform
audits and document findings of company procedures and practices
5.
Must be an
effective communicator with a working familiarity of Microsoft Office
6.
Must have the
ability to teach and coach
7.
Must have strong
administration and tracking skills
8.
Must be able to
travel when required
