Description

Team Fishel, the Best Choice in the utility construction business since 1936, is hiring a Civil Dry Utilities Foreman with electrical, and telecom experience at our Santa Ana, CA office. Our Civil Dry Utilities Foremen support the Dry Utilities division by ensuring high quality and timely completion of projects. Candidates must have knowledge and experience with open trench, joint trench work, and public works projects. The starting wage range for this position is $25.00 to $31.00 an hour depending on skills and experience.

Responsibilities:
1. Oversees the preparation, delivery, and placement of underground utilities
2. Provides all required job reports to help coordinate project planning and execution
3. Manages crew to ensure maximum safety and effciency
4. Conducts pre and post operating equipment checks
5. Conducts daily plan of the day and safety meetings with crew
6. Attends pre-construction meetings as necessary
7. Proactively identifies potential challenges and difficulties
8. Ensures quality workmanship on every job
9. Performs work in a professional manner
10. Completes as-builts and redline prints
11. Manages change order and progress billing
12. Communicates job status with customers and the project team, be responsive to requests
13. Coordinates and supervise all aspects of project planning and execution
14. May work independently performing site surveys for estimates, proposal preparation, or quality assurance

Requirements & Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 5 years experience as a Foreman/ Supervisor in Civil Dry Utilities
2. Thorough understanding and experience in electrical, communications, and telecom projects
3. Experience with both new construction and repair work
4. Excellent communication skills
5. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
6. Ability to travel as required
7. Experience in contract management, change orders, and unit price schedules
8. Ability to accurately interpret construction drawings and create as-builds prints
9. Must have general computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications
10. Valid drivers license with a clean record required
