Environmental Supervisor

Team Fishel, the Best Choice in Utility Engineering, is hiring an Environmental Supervisor for our Dumfries, VA office.

You will lead efforts related to environmental compliance, including (but not limited to) plan reviewing storm water management and erosion and sediment control drawings, completing site inspections, and working with other designers and environmental specialists to complete projects correctly. Responsibilities also include managing a team of environmental specialists, implementing and enforcing policies, monitoring workload and schedules, and providing training.

Requirements

• Department of Environmental Quality Certified (active or available to obtain certifications) including:

• Inspector for SWM (Storm Water Management)

• Inspector for ESC (Erosion Sediment Control)

• Plan Reviewer for SWM

• Plan Reviewer for ESC

• Program Administrator for SWM

• Program Administrator for ESC

• Demonstrated experience with SWPPP site inspections

• Serve as the main correspondent with designated entities including

• Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ)

• Virginia Marine Resources Committee (VMRC)

• U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)

• Prior experience obtaining required environmental permits including

• Construction General Permit (CGP)

• Joint Permit Application (JPA)

• Background as an Annual Standards & Specifications (AS&S) Program Administrator is highly desirable

• Experience with plan generation (preferably AutoCad) is preferred including

• Erosion Sediment Control Plans 

• Storm Water Management Plans

• Prior supervisory experience is highly desirable

This is a salaried position with starting pay of $68,000 - $83,000 / year depending upon experience.
