Team Fishel, the Best Choice in Utility Construction since 1936, is hiring a QA QC Inspector - Electrical Construction for our Efland, NC operation. The Inspector will be responsible for conducting on-site inspections of construction projects related to power generation and distribution infrastructure, ensuring compliance with safety standards, quality control procedures, and project specifications, while maintaining communication with customers and Teammates to guarantee timely completion and adherence to regulatory requirements; this may involve verifying installation methods, material quality, documentation, and reporting any discrepancies to the Project Manager.
Duties
Reviewing construction drawings and specifications to understand project requirements
Conducting pre-construction site surveys to identify potential challenges
Inspecting materials and equipment deliveries to ensure quality standards are met
Verifying proper installation methods for electrical components, including transformers, conductors, and grounding systems
Performing testing and commissioning activities to ensure proper functionality of installed equipment
Identifying and reporting non-compliance issues to Project Manager and relevant authorities
Collaborating with customer, Teammates, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues
Required Skills and Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field or demonstrate Journeyman Lineworker certification and experience
Extensive experience in power utility construction and inspection practices
Strong understanding of electrical safety regulations and procedures
Proficiency in reading blueprints and construction documents
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with customers and Teammates
Ability to work independently in outdoor environments and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Demonstrated ability with Microsoft Office and Google Suite as well as ability to learn new Project Management software
