Description

This is an excellent opportunity to join a solid company in an important role that became available as a result of advancement in the Corporate Accounting Team. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required, or equivalent practical experience.
The average salary range for this position is $70,000 to $82,000, dependent upon experience. A competitive benefits package including profit sharing incentives is also part of total compensation.
Experience & Skills (Required)
- 2-4 years of professional experience in an accounting or finance environment.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly with Excel (for financial analysis and reporting).
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage a diversified task load.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Principal Accountabilities (Key Responsibilities)
The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for the complete fixed asset, lease accounting cycles, and month end close process including:
- Financial Integrity: Prepare, review, and maintain core financial documents, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records and account reconciliations in accordance with GAAP.
- Month-End Close: Execute all required month-end schedules and journal entries efficiently.
- Fixed Asset Lifecycle: Manage fixed assets by recording acquisitions (including lease buyouts) and dispositions in the asset accounting system.
- Depreciation & GL Reconciliation: Calculate fixed asset depreciation and reconcile the General Ledger (GL) expense to the Asset accounting system.
- Lease Management: Accurately record all new and terminated leases in the lease accounting software and reconcile the system to the GAAP GL accounts.
- Capital Expenditures (CapEx): Manage corporate CapEx requests and ensure proper adherence to internal controls and policies for all fixed asset transactions.
- Audit Support: Serve as the primary contact for fixed asset and lease audit requests, providing timely follow-up on all inquiries.
- Cross-Functional Liaison: Act as the main fixed asset liaison with the Corporate Tax Group for Book vs. Tax reconciliations and collaborate with Corporate Fleet to resolve asset purchase/disposal issues.
- Strategic Support: Provide timely and professional support to Management on various accounting projects and analyses.
